About Me!

literette-pic

My name is Sarah and I am your typical mid late-20’s college administrator by day, DIY-er by play. Living life on a budget when it comes to both money and time! On this blog you’ll find a variety of things I like to dabble in: book reviews, healthy (and not so healthy) recipes, meal prep advice, DIY crafts and decor, yoga asanas, lessons learned working in higher education, life musings, etc.

When not blogging, I’m an avid fan of eating Mexican food, snuggling my blind rescue beagle, spending time with my wonderful husband, and watching tons of Hulu and terrible reality television shows.

  1. Dear Sarah,

On June 22, 2010, St. Martin’s Press published A DESIRABLE RESIDENCE, the newest novel by Madeleine Wickham. Also, we are willing to send you an additional 1-5 copies of the book if you wish to host a giveaway on your blog.

  2. Hi Sarah,
I saw you paid me a visit so I thought I’d return the favor! I love your reviews and will definitely be consulting your lists for my reading inspirations!
If you haven’t yet read Janet Evanovich – give her a shot. The Stephanie Plum series are my all time favorite. The first few are still funny but a little dated, still worth the read. There’s a little more action and comedy than romance for what you may be used to but I still consider them Chick-Lit worthy. 🙂
    Happy Reading!
    Angie

    1. Hi Angie,
Thanks for visiting my site! I love DIY projects and am struggling to find my way as a cook, so I will surely be checking back on your page 🙂
That is funny that you mention Janet Evanovich, one of my best friends is in the middle of reading the series and she keeps telling me to try them as well. The “dated” part is funny too–my friend said she was reading and couldn’t stop laughing when Stephanie talks about how she puts on her new trendy outfit of platform sandels and a leather miniskirt or something to that affect…oh the 90’s 😉
      Thanks again!

  3. Just wanted to say Hi! I love reading your blog 🙂 I’m in the middle of the Stephanie Plum series, but plan to tackle your list when I am done. So proud of my talented friend, haha.

    1. Hiii thanks, friend! Everyone keeps telling me to read the Stephanie Plum series so I need to start those soon. I’m hoping to get through some other books first though, since that series is so long. Oh yes, hidden talents of community college employes 🙂

  4. I have a book I think you should read when you have the time. It is titled “Same Kind of Different as Me,” and give a review on it. I think you will find it very enlightening and worthwhile. It has been made into a movie which opens this weekend (10/20).

    1. Awesome, it looks like they have it at the library so I’ll check it out next time I go! Just read the description and it sounds very good. Thanks for the suggestion ❤
